Landscape Drawings

Drawing is at my core. The act of drawing involves all the senses - truly seeing what you are looking at, hearing and smelling what is around you, feeling the texture of the paper and pencil or pen as they communicate - and fixes the experience in your memory. I can conjure still the moments I drew these images, taking in the atmosphere of the day, the activity around me, relishing the recording of light and shadow, volume, texture, and structure, whether a vista or a detail.
